Care & Maintenance
Care Instructions - iCam
- Heat up for at least 30 mins before use. We recommend turning the unit on in the morning before a dayof surgery to ensure this.
- Store on a solid dry surface when not scanning.
- Clean case and handles with disinfectant wipes.
- Test the system before using it on a patient incase you run into any issues. when a patient is in thechair it can be stressful!
- Do not bend the usb cord or let it drag on the floor.
- Do not drop the ICam unit or bang it into anything.
- Do not spray or saturate directly with cleaner.
- Do not touch the camera lenses. This may knock the cameras out of alignment resulting in inaccuracy of scans.
- Be gentle when plugging the USB into the back of the ICam. If there is resistance, attempt another angle so as to not break off the USB within the ICam.

Care Instructions - iCam Bodies
- Hand tighten, do not use torque wrench
- Cleaning
- separate screws and icombodies for cleaning
- use a soft toothbrush with water to clean off initial debris
- autoclave for sterilization
- do not use cold sterilization
- do not use ultrasonic cleaner do not use metal instruments or brushes
- Replace after 50 uses- after this many autoclave cycles deformation can occur that decreases accuracy

Care Instructions - ICam Refs
- Hand tighten
- These can be sent home with the patient as healing caps.
- Cleaning place in ultrasonic cleaner take a toothbrush under running water and clean after ultrasonic finally, autoclave
Care Instructions - Calibration Plate
- Clean only with a dry microfiber towel
- Do not touch the face with the targets on it- the carbon fiber targets are very fragile. if they are damaged, the ICam wont be able to calibrate or scan
- Place the calibration on the footplate and place it on the workbench preferably somewhere it doesn’t have to be moved.
- Do not use any water or cleaning solution on plate
- Hold only at the edges of the plate or by the metal base
